Everyone LOVES Chef Joel’s meatloaf that is a regular offering on DWYC’s weekly specials menu. The comfort-food favorite is so like mom used to make, but with something special. Now you can make it at home and he’s included his secret ingredient…BBQ sauce! MANGIA!
2 pounds ground beef
1 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs beaten
1/2 cup onion (diced)
1/2 cup carrots (diced)
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
salt & pepper to taste
PREHEAT OVEN: 400 Degrees
sauté onions & carrots until onions are translucent about 3 to 4 minutes place in fridge to cool.
Combine all ingredients (don’t forget your onions & and carrots)
(hint don’t over mix).
Form into loaf and place on baking sheet.
Cook in oven at 400 degrees until internal temperature of 145 degrees is reached.
Remove from oven allow to rest 10 minutes.
