Tonight, we will be covering the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>3 Garnishes<\/li><li>&nbsp;2 Drinks<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Followings is suggested <strong><u>equipment<\/u><\/strong> for<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Garnishes:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Vegetable peeler, paring knife, zester\/channel knife, small bowl, fork or something to mix with, measuring spoons, small baggie and picks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drinks:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Muddler, Cocktail shaker, strainer, Martini Glass, Old Fashion Glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Following are <strong><u>ingredients<\/u><\/strong> needed (quantity is for one (1) serving so multiply accordingly):<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Garnishes:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>2 lemons<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 lime<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 jar Queen-size Pitted green Olives (can share) (Not using as a garnish tonight but makes a good appy&nbsp; or snack)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 oz whipped cream cheese<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 oz crumbled blu cheese (or Gorgonzola)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2t. fresh thyme<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/2t ground black pepper<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drinks:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Ice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 oz Vodka<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 oz House made sour (1-part lemon juice, 1-part lime juice, 2-parts simple syrup [1-part sugar, 1-part water, heated until sugar dissolved [or you can buy it in a bottle])<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 ea. Strawberries,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bd oz strawberry puree (I use Hansen\u2019s Nectar)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3-4 fresh basil leaves<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u00bc oz Triple Sec<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bc oz simple syrup (see House made sour) (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 oz Kahlua<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1-1\/5 oz espresso (I just make a cup of strong coffee) cooled<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 coffee beans (optional for garnish)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>superfine sugar for glass rim (spin \u00bc C regular sugar in spice or coffee grinder, blender or mini food processor)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grocery List: <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>lemon, lime, pitted green olives, whipped cream cheese, blue cheese, thyme, black pepper, vodka, house or store bought sour, strawberries, strawberry puree, basil leaves, triple sec, simple syrup, Kahlua, espresso (or strong coffee, chilled), super fine sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t want to buy a full bottle of some of the alcohol ingredients, Wine &amp; More and BevMor sell most specialty alcohol in mini (airplane) bottles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the 1st DWYC Mixology Class.
