About DWYC

The Dana West Yacht Club was established in 1978 with the purpose of providing a social organization for those interested in ‘All Things Water.”  Located on the island in Dana Point Harbor, we enjoy a newly renovated clubhouse with up-to-date technology and décor.  The full-service kitchen offers a regular menu for lunch and dinner Thursday through Monday, as well as weekly specials.

The bar has views of beautiful ocean sunsets in one direction, and the harbor in the other.  For those who want to keep up with their favorite sports teams, we have several large-screen smart TV’s.  We offer an expansive patio with a beautiful stone fireplace, outdoor TV, outdoor heaters and lighting.  A floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace facing interior gives the clubhouse a warm and inviting atmosphere any time of the year.  We also provide a WiFi connection, so the clubhouse is the perfect place to just hang out.

The club hosts numerous on the water activities including cruises, fishing tournaments, junior sailing and races. Dana West Yacht Club is mainly known for having a robust social dynamic that brings members together regularly with live bands, dancing, DJ & karaoke nights, special brunches, dinner events, and themed parties for every occasion.  We also sponsor and participate in several charity events each year including the annual Charity Regatta benefiting the American Cancer Society and an Armed Forces dinner for the Marines.  In addition to our full social calendar, the club offers several member groups that encompass the wide variety of the interests of our members, including the Business Network Group “BNG”, the Islander’s that is a fundraising and social organization comprised of the ladies in the club – just to name a few.

We welcome visiting yachtsman from reciprocal Southern California Yachting Association yacht clubs, associations and organizations; as well as international reciprocal members through the Yacht Clubs of America. See if your club’s burgee is in our clubhouse by clicking HERE!

Smooth sailing and following seas!
